What should my child wear?
It is essential that your child comes wearing lots of warm layers, preferably thermals, fleeces, gloves, hats and waterproofs. Old ski trousers and waterproof trousers not only protect from the wind and rain but also brambles. All the clothing can get VERY muddy so only let them wear clothes that are old and can get dirty. We understand that children don't always like wearing lots of warm clothes/coats so if you have that problem, please could their layers be in a bag and then there is the option later. A spare set of clothes is also useful in case they get wet. Although we have a parachute shelter which is dry underneath (for bags etc), we have no inside space so it's really important to wrap up. It could be muddy this time at the wood, so we strongly recommend wellies with warm socks.
